3 Ways to keep your A/C unit running energy efficient

1. Change you air filters regularly.

Replacing air filters regularly does a lot more then just keep the air clean. Having a dirty filter causes your unit to work harder to force air through the filter. Most filters need to be replaced every thirty days to 6 months depending on filter used, location and household. When you do replace the filter don't forget to put the date on the filter so you will know when to replace it next.

2. Keeping the area around the unit clean and free of debris.

It is vital to keep the unit clean and free of debris. It can damage the unit or even destroy it. Don't forget to point the mower away from the A/C unit when doing yard work.

3. Have Your Unit Inspected

Inspecting your A/C unit is vital to keeping it running at peak performance.

Catching even a minor problem early on, such as a rattling sound, can prevent it from becoming a major issue later. This will help you save money on AC repairs, and potentially even a premature replacement.
